When we arrived, we found out that our specifically requested room had been inadvertently given to someone else with a similar name. We had fallen in love with this particular suite online, and were only there 2 nights, so didn't want to compromise. It took 2 hours, but Hotel Lido did the right thing and contacted the couple they had put in the room, explained the situation (that goodness we had our Booked.net receipt!), and moved them into another suite and let us have the one we'd requested. It was the right thing for them to do, and they could have so easily refused. It showed us their character, and we were so pleased they handled it this way. Our room was fabulous!!
We were not thrilled that our room had been accidentally given away...but at least the problem was handled as it should have been. The only other issue was that they charge way too much for an "extra bed", which we needed. Most places charge 50 or so Euro (roughly $70 a night), but Hotel Lido wanted $211 for the 2 nights!! And the worst part was, the "extra bed", which was simply a big, lush chair that pulled out to a single, was already in the room! In fact, there were two!!! But they wouldn't provide us with "sheets" or a "pillow" unless we paid this amount. We refused. So my husband just slept on it anyway without sheets!!! That seemed real silly...they need to come down on their price for this, and be along the same lines as everyone else...

Title: Fantastic Family Stay
For dads, it would be great if the hotel had some additional children's activities to keep the little ones entertained.

The hotel had a lovely terrace with great views of the sea. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and the wine selection was excellent. And who doesn't love a free full breakfast?!
The only downside was the small shower, but who needs personal space when you're on vacation, right?

Our experience was extremely positive. The room was clean, spacious, and the the air conditioning excellent. The staff were extremely helpful. Location was perfect with train station very close by that went to the places we were there to see. The view from our room was beautiful with the sea in one direction and the mountains in another. It was a pleasure to be staying there.

I had an amazing experience at this hotel! The location was absolutely perfect - right in front of the beach. I was able to relax and enjoy the beautiful views from my room's balcony. The staff was incredibly friendly and provided excellent service. They even welcomed me with a refreshing drink upon arrival. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, with all the amenities I needed like air conditioning and a flat-screen TV. The breakfast options were plentiful and delicious, and the dining experience overall was top-notch. I truly felt pampered during my stay.
This place is highly recommended for everyone.

A great hotel right next to the beach with a great view of the sea and mountainside.
The owners spoke barely any English. We were still able to communicate without any isssues and they were very polite.

This place was absolutely mind-blowing! The family-operated hotel was a labor of love, and it showed in every aspect of our stay. From the warm welcome to the exceptional dining experience, we felt like part of the family. The wine list was jaw-dropping, and the location between Cinque Terre and Portofino was super convenient. Our room was a true gem - spacious, comfy, with a fantastic view. Can't wait to come back next year for a longer stay!

Walking straight onto the beach was amazing, and the breakfast was perfect, with plenty of options to choose from. The short distance to the train station was very helpful for my business trip, and the staff was happy to assist with any requests I had.
The language barrier was an issue, as most of the staff couldn't speak English. there were some advantages to staying at this hotel for a business trip, but the language barrier and uncomfortable beds made it less than ideal.

The staff at the Lido were gentle, kind and attentive to all of our needs including asking their son to drive us 30 Km to the connecting train station. we dined 3 nights in their dining room and had excellent meals. We preferred to stay in this quiet location and catch the train (150M to the station) to the Cinque Terre towns, about 15 Minutes away. if we holiday again at Cinque Terre we would stay at the Lido.

A very modern hotel, but with a small country feel. Staff were exceedingly friendly and helpful. Seemed to be family operated. Although not geared up to deal with laundry, on request, they washed, pressed and returned some clothes overnight at a very modest cost.

We had a fantastic experience at Lido. The welcoming staff made us feel right at home and the hotel's location right by the beautiful beach was perfect for swimming. It was also conveniently situated for visiting Cinque Terre, only a 15-20 minute train ride away. We appreciated the free parking and the discount to a private beach. The staff spoke multiple languages, including English, which made communication easy. The breakfast served each morning was delicious, with a special cake of the day. The room was well-equipped, clean, and had an outstanding sea view. we highly recommend Lido for a memorable stay.
Don't have any issues at all. 👍
